Submit Your Travel Articles
We don’t use seasoned travel writers on the site because we are about backpacking and want all our articles to be based on real authentic backpacking experiences. However if you do have ambitions of getting into travel writing then this is an easy way to promote your work, get a free link to your blog/web pages and get a glowing reference should you go onto bigger and better things. Most importantly you must simply have travelled on a low budget fairly recently and if this is the case we would love to read your articles and if they’re any good they’ll go on the site.
How It Works
1) E-mail us in an article that you would like to appear on myfunkytravel.com. If you have an idea where it would fit in that is even better (eg destinations, top tens, hardcore etc) but we’re interested in everything from destination guides and travel diaries to tales of epic travel adventures. You can submit as many as you like that you would be happy for us to use.
2) We will read the article and if we like it we’ll publish it. We will NOT change your article in any way (unless there are grammar errors). So if we use it you will get your original piece published and not edited for S.E.O. or anything like that.
3) You will be listed on our Writers page as contributor to the site and alongside your name should you wish you can write a brief personal summary and add any links to blogs, personal sites or social networking pages.
